About Harlowe

Harlowe is a marketing consultancy built for two types of clients.

CPG and DTC brands that need a lifecycle and retention system designed properly, so revenue does not stop after the first sale.

And early-stage companies that need a senior marketing lead without the full-time cost, someone who can build the function, not just advise on it.

Both have the same problem at the core: marketing that is not working as hard as it should be. Harlowe exists to fix that.

Why marketing breaks down at this stage

For CPG and DTC brands, the problem usually shows up post-purchase. Acquisition is working, but retention is an afterthought. Emails go out without a clear strategy behind them. There is no intentional journey from first order to repeat buyer. Revenue that should compound is leaking instead.

For early-stage companies, the problem looks different but feels the same. Marketing is founder-led, scattered, or simply not built yet. There is no system, no calendar, no clear ownership. Growth stalls not because the product is wrong but because marketing is not pulling its weight.

In both cases, the fix is not more campaigns. It is building the right foundation.

Led by a founder who has been on both sides

Harlowe is led by Annabel (Bel) Okeya, a senior marketer and founder with 10+ years building integrated marketing programs across B2B, e-commerce, and consumer brands.

Annabel founded and scaled Seventh & Oak, a D2C home fragrance brand, from zero to 14,000 Instagram followers and 2,000+ orders, running every marketing function independently from paid social and email to SEO, content, and brand.

She has spent her career at the intersection of strategy and execution, building marketing programs that span events, email automation, paid, content, and brand, across both lean startup environments and larger North American organizations.

She started Harlowe because she kept seeing the same two problems: CPG brands leaving retention revenue on the table, and early-stage companies asking founders to do marketing work they should not have to do themselves.

Harlowe exists to solve both.

How Harlowe works

Every engagement starts with a real conversation about where you are and what you actually need. Scope is defined before anything starts. No retainers for retainers' sake, no open-ended engagements without clear outcomes.

For lifecycle marketing clients, that means a focused four-week engagement with implementation-ready deliverables your team can own and build on.

For fractional marketing clients, that means a monthly retainer scoped to your stage and priorities, with direct founder access and no account managers in between.

In both cases the approach is the same. Strategy before execution. Clear outcomes. Work that actually moves the business forward.

Ready to work together?

Whether you are a CPG brand ready to invest in retention, or an early-stage company that needs a senior marketing lead, the first step is the same.
